- 1). Open Quicken. Click on the Report menu to find a list of reports. Choose the proper report from the drop-down menu. If necessary, change the date range to reflect needed dates before running the report.
- 2). Run the report. When it displays on-screen, click "Copy."
- 3). Open Excel. Create a new spreadsheet.
- 4). In Excel, go to the Edit menu and click on "Paste." Your report should paste into the spreadsheet.
- 5). Go to the File menu and select "Save." A dialog box will come up. Type in your file name. Look underneath the file name to find the drop-down box for File Type. If this box is not set on .xls files, click on the drop-down menu to change it to .xls format.
- 6). Click "Save." Your file will save with your desired file name and the .xls extension.
