Encourage Blog Comments In 4 Ways
One of the ways you can do to make your blog lively is to be interactive.
What I mean by this is that you should do everything possible to encourage your visitors to leave comments in your blog (and not just reading your posts and then leave).
There are many different ways you can use to encourage blog comments, and in this post, I am going to share with you 4 of the most popular methods you can use to encourage interactivity on your blog.
1.
Specifically Ask For Comments Most of the times, people like to be told what to do.
If you want them to leave their comments after reading your blog post, end it with something like: "Do you find this blog post useful/interesting? Tell me what you think by leaving a comment in the comment box below" By saying the above, make sure that your comment box can be found immediately after your blog post - So as to make it convenient for your visitors to leave you a comment.
2.
Don't Include Everything If you have included everything there is to say about a particular topic that you are writing on, then there's pretty much nothing that anyone can add on - And this could be one of the reason why your visitors leave after reading your posts.
You might want to deliberately leave one to two points out and you can end your post with something like: "The above are just what I have thought of off the top of my head.
Are there anything I have left out or is there anything that I have not mentioned above that you would like to add on? Feel free to add on by entering them in the comments box below...
" 3.
Open Ended Posts I am sure that there are times where encounter situations where you see some controversial discussions going on in the niche topic where your blog is about.
What you want to do here is to create a blog post to discuss about it - Where in your post you give your personal opinion on what you think pertaining to the subject matter.
At the end of the post, you can invite interactivity by saying something like: "Do you agree with my points/opinions? I would love to hear about your thoughts about this subject matter...
" By doing so would definitely help trigger interactivity on your blog.
4.
Reward Active Visitors Finally, you may want to hold a competition where you reward the most active blog readers.
For example, you may wish to hold a month-long campaign where, at the end of the month, you will reward the top 3 most active readers with a digital eBook that you have just written where, inside the ebook, they will discover solutions to the most nail biting problems in the niche that your blog is about (and you know that your readers would definitely want to know the solutions to these problems).
By doing so would definitely encourage your blog readers to actively participate in your blog.
The above are just 4 different tips that you can use to encourage blog comments from your readers.
Are there other ways to encourage blog comments that you have in mind which I did not include in the article above? Feel free to share with the community by sharing your knowledge in the comments box below...
