How to Configure Email Addresses
- 1). Open the email program in which you would like to configure your email address--for example, Outlook Express, Entourage and Eudora.
- 2). Click on the option to set up a new email account. For Outlook Express this is done by clicking on "Tools" and "Accounts" from the menu bar. Underneath the "Mail" tab you will then select "Add" and "Mail." For Entourage, click on "Entourage" from the top menu bar. Select "Account Settings." Click the "Mail," "New," enter your full email address user name and click "Configure Account Manually." For Eudora, click on "Tools," "Options" and "Getting Started."
- 3). Enter all of the information for your email account in the email setup wizard. You will have to enter your email address, user name, password, and mail server settings. If you don't know your email server settings, you can obtain them by contacting your email service provider or by visiting your email service provider's website. When entering your email settings, be sure to select the option to remember your user name and password if you don't want to type in your information every time you get ready to send or receive messages.
- 4). Click "Finish" or "OK" (wording will vary by email program) after all of your email settings have been entered.
- 5). Repeat Steps 2 through 4 for each email address you want to configure on your computer.
