How to Format Fractions
- 1). Click on the software program's icon you plan to use in your "Start" menu or on your desktop. Double-click on "New" to create a new document.
- 2). Clock on the "Tools" icon in the upper-left corner, then click the "Options" box.
- 3). Scroll down to "proofing" and click.
- 4). Click on "AutoCorrect Options"
- 5). Click on the "AutoFormat As You Type" tab. Verify that the check box next to "Fractions (1/2) with fraction character (1/2) is selected. Click "OK." This will change 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 automatically when you type.
