How to Get Rid of LimeWire Downloads

    • 1). Click on "Tools" in the bar on top of LimeWire and then the "Options" link.

    • 2). Select the "Download" tab. In the "Save Downloads To:" bar is the download path folder. In Windows Vista, the default is "C:\Users\Owner\Documents\LimeWire\Saved". The path may be different in Windows XP or if you made changes to the default location. Double-check this option to obtain the correct path to your download folder.

    • 3). Go to your download path. Get rid of the file by right-clicking on it. Select the "Delete" option.

    • 4). To remove more than one file, use "Select All" in the "Edit" tab.

    • 5). Then select the "Delete" tab in "File." To remove certain downloads, hold the "Ctrl" button on the keyboard and click the files your want to remove. Again, select the "File" and "Delete" option when you finish.

    • 6). Remove your LimeWire incomplete downloads. Go to the "LimeWire" folder. Open the "Incomplete" folder. Use the delete options in step 2 to get rid of the LimeWire downloads.
