Pregnancy Hemorrhoids - Treating Hemorrhoids Naturally

Pregnancy brings on all kinds o side effects and one of the most embarrassing is hemorrhoids.
Hemorrhoids may be painful, itchy and or bleed.
Not all pregnant women experience hemorrhoids but a good majority of women do.
When Do Hemorrhoids Show Up? Well if you are going to get hemorrhoids the bad news is they can show up at anytime.
A woman I know managed to get hemorrhoids before she even found out she was pregnant but this isn't normal.
Pregnancy hemorrhoids tend to show up anytime between the 1st trimester and the birth of the baby.
Some lucky women who have gone their entire pregnancy's without hemorrhoids will get hemorrhoids pushing out the baby.
The good news is most pregnancy hemorrhoids will go away after the baby is born without surgery.
Treating Hemorrhoids While Pregnant Since you are pregnant you should avoid medicines unless your doctor says otherwise.
There are few changes that will be easy to make and you should see some relief.
* Food Choices - Making smart food choices can make all the difference if you are pregnant with hemorrhoids.
Foods should be easy on your digestive system.
Any foods which may cause constipation should be avoided.
Most vegetables are a good choice.
Meats take longer to digest and should be avoided or eaten in very small amounts.
* Drinking more liquids - Adding more liquids like water and juices to your diet should help keep things moving along.
Staying "regular" is vital to both keeping hemorrhoids at bay and preventing them from becoming worse and allowing them time to heal.
* Ice Packs can bring some cooling relief and reduce hemorrhoid swelling.
* Using a Sitz bath is a great help.
Soaking your behind in warm water several times a day and gently drying it after wards will help keep the area clean.
* Donuts - If your hemorrhoids are so painful sitting is difficult then consider getting a hemorrhoid donut for use at home.
Hemorrhoids aren't any fun.
Hopefully making some of these simple changes will help ease the pain.
