Mackinac Island

Mackinac Island was recently named Good Morning America's title "America's Summer Hot Spot". Mackinac Island is located in Lake Huron in a narrow between the Upper and Lower Peninsulas. To reach the Island, you must take a ferry from Mackinaw City. Upon arriving, you will find yourself in a time long lost. No motor vehicles are allowed on the island, making this an ideal location for those who enjoy walking and biking. Horse drawn carriages are a popular way to get a full tour of the Island. Mackinac Island is filled with rich history from the colonial times. See the spectacular Mackinac Bridge, and attraction in itself. Cross the bridge northbound and head to the Tahquamenon Falls.

Tahquamenon Falls

Head north to the Upper Peninsula, the Tahquamenon Falls flow inside the Sate Park named after the same. Two waterfalls make up this natural marvel, both of which find birth near Lake Superior, which sits in the Upper Peninsula area. The Lower Falls are broken up into five smaller ones, flowing about an island. The Upper Falls, with their 50-foot drop, are far more magnificent. Sending approx. 50,000 gallons of water over the edge per second, the Tahquamenon Falls are a lesson in majesty and beauty.
