Cow Bell Clay Pot Craft

    Stencil

    • Use a small cow bell stencil to create a pretty border around the top of your pot. Pick up a stencil at a craft shop or make your own by tracing and cutting out a cow bell shape from a piece of cardboard. Trace the shape over and over around the top of the pot, coloring the bells in with yellow paint markers from an art store.

    Sponge Paint

    • A sponge paint technique is an easy way to get a cow bell motif onto a pot. Cut out the shape of a cow bell from a sponge, using an image online or from a photograph as guidance. Dip the sponge into yellow acrylic paint and carefully stamp the outside of the clay pot with the sponge.

    Bell and Ribbon

    • A bit of ribbon makes it easy to attach an actual cow bell to a clay pot. Cut a piece of decorative ribbon and snake it through the top of a pretty cow bell. Tie the ribbon tightly around the top of the pot into a bow.

    Fabric

    • If you have some pretty fabric with a cow bell pattern on it, use it to customize your pot. Cut the edges of the fabric with a pair of pinking shears to prevent fraying. Place the pot on top of the fabric, pulling the fabric up to cover the pot. Tie a piece of ribbon tightly around the outside of the pot to hold the fabric in place.
