Why is There No Cure For Genital Warts?

Millions of people around the world have genital warts.
They are extremely contagious and easily passed from partner to partner during sexual contact.
As of today, there is no known cure.
However, the good news is, many times the HPV, (cause of genital warts), goes away on its own.
A cure has been very difficult to find because genital warts are caused by a virus.
Actually, one of several viruses.
Most of the time it comes from one of two.
Each rarely produces symptoms or outbreaks.
If the infection were bacterial, it could be treated with antibiotics but viral infections are much harder to treat and find cures for.
There is a vaccination available that is manufactured by Merck and company and is very effective in preventing someone from contracting genital warts.
It is strongly recommended that teenage girls or women who are sexually active get the vaccine because in recent studies, genital warts have been linked to cervical cancer.
There can also be major complications with them in women who are pregnant.
There can be problems during delivery.
While there is no cure for genital warts, there are treatments available.
There are prescription treatments, both oral and topical.
And there are homeopathic treatments as well.
Both can be very effective in lessening the severity and length of an outbreak.
A cure for genital warts is being researched.
Until that time, for someone who has them, treating them effectively can make a huge difference in their comfort during an outbreak.
Finding a remedy that works takes a little research and trial and error.
