How to Get a Kitten to Use the Litter Tray
- 1). Place the litter tray in an easily accessible location for the kitten. Put it in a low-traffic area.
- 2). Carry the kitten to the tray and place it on the litter. Leave the kitten alone and let it come out of the room on its own.
- 3). Carry the kitten back to the litter tray during the day and leave it to do its business. Do this at strategic times, including when the kitten wakes up from sleeping or after feeding time. Reward the kitten for using the litter box.
- 4). Clean the litter box daily to ensure that your tidy kitten will use it.
