Giraffe Shower Ideas

    Invitations

    • Cut out white giraffe silhouettes and glue then on orange card stock. On the empty blue side begin to write the baby shower invitation. Welcome guests on an "African safari" where they will "see nature at its finest as it prepares to welcome a new life into the world." Add the party details: name of mom-to-be, and time, date and location of the baby shower.

    Cupcakes

    • Make a variety of cupcake flavors like chocolate, lemon, strawberry, white, carrot and red velvet. Frost them with chocolate ganache, whipped topping, cream cheese and almond buttercream and place the finished cupcakes inside giraffe-, zebra- and lion-design laser cutouts. The cupcakes will mimic the wild animals found on a safari.

    Decorations

    • Lay a giraffe-print table runner on the table and place two bouquets of bright yellow, orange and white flowers on top of the runner. Set the table with dinner plates, napkins, glasses and silverware. Write each guest's name on a mini safari hat to be used as place cards. Put a hat on each plate so guests know where to sit.

    Gifts

    • Give mom-to-be a giraffe-print baby blanket, a white giraffe shaped nursery lamp, giraffe wall stickers and giraffe-shaped soap. If you prefer to give her something she can use more than a wall mural, consider getting her a giraffe-themed towel or diaper set.

    Favor Boxes

    • Purchase festive boxes with soft orange, yellow, green and blue lines and polka dots on them. Fill them with colorful almonds or a dry fruit mix and close the lid. Complete the favors by putting giraffe stickers on poster board and cutting them out with a straight edged knife. Slice the center of the lid slightly shorter than the length of the sticker cutout and force the cutout into the hole. When done properly it will stand straight up and look like a giraffe is standing on top of the box.
