How to Make Pretty Stuff on Photoshop
- 1). Open Photoshop and click "File", then click "Open". Browse to a photo on your computer and double-click it so it opens in your workspace. Click the "Image" menu, select "Mode" and choose "Grayscale". Click "OK" at the warning box. Your image turns to gray/black and white.
- 2). Click the "Lasso" tool on the "Tools" palette and draw an outline around an area of the photo, such as a flower or a little girl's dress. A blinking dotted line appears.
- 3). Click the "Image" menu again and select "Mode", then choose "RGB Color". Double-click the top-left box in the "Color Picker", which is the two overlapping colored squares, on the "Tools" palette. Choose a pastel paint color and click "OK".
- 4). Click the "Paint Bucket" on the "Tools" palette, then click inside the dotted lines, which fills with color. Repeat to sprinkle a few areas of pretty color around your picture.
- 1). Open a new image in Photoshop. Click the "Paintbrush" tool on the "Tools" palette, then choose a pretty, pastel color in the "Color Picker". Pull down the "Brush" menu at the top of the screen and select a solid round brush head such as #19. Check the "Wet Edges" box.
- 2). Hover your cursor over a corner of the photo and notice it changes to the brush head. Draw the outline of a flower such as the petals or the head of a tulip. Click the "Paint Bucket", then click inside the outline, which fills with color.
- 3). Change paint colors and repeat drawing flowers around the outline of the picture, creating a chain of flowers as a border.
- 1). Open a new photo and click "Image", then "Adjust", then "Hue/Saturation". Move the "Hue" slider bar to the left or right until the entire photo takes on a pink hue.
- 2). Move the "Saturation" bar to the right to increase the amount of pink in the photo; the further to the right, the more your image will take on a cartoon-like look.
- 3). Click the "Paintbrush" tool and select a pink paint color from the "Color Picker". Draw small hearts on top of any major surfaces in your photo, such as grass, the sky, a river or someone's shirt.
