Hemorrhoids - What Causes Them and How to Cure Them

Hemorrhoids or piles, isn't something you should feel embarrassed about if you suffer from this horrible condition.
It's estimated that 8 out of 10 people will suffer hemorrhoids at some point in their lives.
What exactly are they and what is it that causes them? They are where the veins in and around the anus swell and expand the blood vessels in the surrounding area.
They are often accompanied by bleeding which makes the suffering a hundred times worse and more embarrassing.
Many who are suffering from the condition experience itching, swelling, and pain in the veins around the anus area.
Probably the main cause is dehydration.
This dehydration usually occurs as a result of constipation caused by a diet that includes wheat, different dairy foods, and simple sugars.
Some other common causes may include sitting for long periods of time in one place, pressure put on the veins due to pregnancy, and even heredity can be the culprit that brings them on.
The two broad groups are internal and external hemorrhoids.
Most of you will find that the internal form tend to bleed a lot more than the external kind.
How to know if yours are bleeding.
It's simple.
Blood can be seen in your stool, on your tissue paper, or even dripping into the toilet bowl.
But you do have to be careful.
Just because you see blood in your stool it may not be caused by your condition.
Bleeding can also be caused by a rip or fissure in the anus.
Usually the piles are accompanied by extreme discomfort and pain while the fissure is most of the time painless.
There are different forms your piles may take.
Some may be bleeders.
Others can bleed but not always and will stick out but in time go back in on their own.
And still others will protrude but you need to stick them back in.
And still there are more that will stick out but you can't push them back in.
You as someone who is experiencing the misery of hemorrhoids firsthand have to decide how you want to treat them.
There are many treatments available to choose from that can relieve you from your pain.
Obviously, if you have the severest of severe cases you will need to seek medical treatment for it.
This could include getting a prescription from the doctor.
Unfortunately, many prescriptions come with side effects that can be worse than the condition you got the pills for in the first place.
Another option may be the doctor may choose is to perform surgery and operate on them.
But this choice is not usually done except under the most extreme circumstances due to the bad side effects that can result from the operation.
Thankfully, most of the time you don't have to resort to such serious fixes.
It could be simple as making simple changes to your diet or drinking more water.
If you catch the hemorrhoids in their early stages then using a natural or home remedy can be used quite effectively to solve your problem.
It could be as simple as using a supplement or a cream to get rid of them.
So before you take a very serious treatment option, try out a natural remedy, and you may be pleasantly surprised to find that it works out great for you.
