How to Burn an M3U to a DVD-R to Play on DVD Players
- 1). Create an empty subfolder on your hard drive for the M3U playlist and all the MP3 files on the playlist. Transfer all the MP3 files on your M3U playlist into the empty folder.
- 2). Insert the blank DVD-R into the DVD burner. Open your DVD burner software and start the burning process.
- 3). Open the subfolder with the M3U playlist file and the MP3 files. Select all the files and add them to the list of files to be burned on the blank DVD. By placing the MP3 files in the same directory with the M3U playlist you enable the playlist to find the files, since the M3U file searches its own directory for playlist files first.
- 4). Choose the "Burn" command and start the process of transferring the M3U and MP3 files to the DVD. Select the option to close and finalize the disk.
- 5). Remove the completed disk from the DVD burner and close all programs. Place the DVD into the M3U compatible player, open the playlist and test by opening the MP3 files.
