How to Install QuickTime 7 on a MackBook Pro
- 1). Insert your Mac OS X 10.6 (the most current, as of April 2011) installation CD/DVD into the CD/DVD-ROM drive and let the disc run. Double-click the "Option Installs" package. Check "QuickTime 7." Click "Continue" to launch the installation wizard.
- 2). Go to the QuickTime 7 download page if you don't have an installation disc (See Resources). Enter your email address in the open box. Click the "Download Now" link. The download box launches. The installation file downloads automatically. Double-click the installer when the download process completes. A new box launches and you see the "QuickTimePlayer7Snow.pkg" file.
- 3). Double-click the "QuickTimePlayer7Snow.pkg" file to launch the QuickTime 7 installation wizard.
- 4). Click "Continue," read the "Software License Agreement" and click "Continue." Click the "Agree" button.
- 5). Select the location you want to install QuickTime 7, and then click the "Install" button. If prompted, type your administrator password and click "OK." The installer installs QuickTime 7. When the process completes, you see a notification message.
