How Can I Convert Office 2007 to 2000?

    • 1). Open the Microsoft Office file you want to convert. Use your computer mouse to double click on its icon to open it in the appropriate Microsoft Office program.

    • 2). Click one time on the circle-shaped "Office" button in the top left corner of your Microsoft Office program. This button replaces the standard "File" menu in this version of Office.

    • 3). Click "Save As."

    • 4). Choose "97-2003 Document" from the "Save As" list. For example, if you were saving a Word document this listing would read "Word 97-2003 Document." This will tell Office 2007 that you want to save the file in a format that can be understood by Office 2000.

    • 5). Name your file and click "Save." Your Microsoft Office 2007 document will have been successfully converted into a format that can be read and understood by Microsoft Office 2000.
