How to Reset Internet Connection Sharing

    • 1). Go over to the client computer. Click "Start," then type "Network Connections" in the "Search" box and press "Enter."

    • 2). Right-click the "Local Area Connection" icon and click "Disable." Leave the "Network Connections" window open, and go back to your server computer.

    • 3). Click "Start," and type "Services.msc" in "Search," then press "Enter." This opens a "Services" window.

    • 4). Right-click the "Internet Connection Sharing (ICS)" service, and click the "Restart" option. A notice appears with a progress bar informing you that the service is restarting. When the dialog has disappeared, the service has restarted.

    • 5). Go back over to the client computer. Right-click the "Local Area Connection" icon and click "Enable." You have reset Internet Connection Sharing on your home network.
