Rogers International Commodities Index

Developed by the well-respected global investor and author of Hot Commodities, The Rogers International Commodities Index is the largest commodities index, which contains 35 commodities. The index was created to reflect the current state of international trade and commerce.

This commodities index goes a step further than the other commodities indexes as it contains many commodities that don’t trade on US futures exchanges.

The index was first developed on July 31, 1998 and the initial value was set at 1,000.

The Index contains the following commodities and weightings:

Notice that crude oil is 35% of the index. Weights for each commodity can change over time to reflect the international economic state.
