How to Excel at Kart Racing
- 1). Learn the meaning of the racing flags. A green flag starts and restarts the race.
- 2). Slow to half speed and drive single file when the yellow flag is waving. No passing is allowed.
- 3). Disobey a driving rule and you will see a black flag. You risk disqualification if you drive in a manner that endangers yourself or others, ignore flags, have contact with another kart or exhibit poor sportsmanship.
- 4). Allow lead drivers to pass when you see a blue flag.
- 5). Stop and remain in your kart when the red flag appears. A white flag signals that one lap remains.
- 6). Return to the pits slowly when you see a checkered flag. This signals the end of the race.
- 1). Hold the steering wheel of your go-kart at the 10 and 2 position, and sit up with good posture. Place your seat in a position that gives the best control of the kart.

- 5). Accelerate on the straight-of-ways to gain position, and practice to find the best maximum speed to maintain control on every part of the track.
