    • The Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD was introduced in 2001. The Silverado 2500HD is still produced as of 2011 and is available in three models: Work Truck, LT, and LTZ. The Work Truck is the least expensive model, while the LTZ is the most expensive. Each 2011 Silverado 2500HD model comes with available options and a 36 month/36,000 mile warranty.

    Engine and Fuel Capacity

    • Each model of the 2011 Silverado 2500HD comes standard with a 360 horsepower, 6.0-liter V8 engine. Available for each is a 335 horsepower, 6.6-liter V8 as well as a 397 horsepower, 6.6-liter V8. Each model sports a fuel tank which can hold 36 gallons of regular unleaded fuel.

    Transmission and Drive Type

    • All three models come with a six-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. Overdrive allows the engine to achieve greater fuel efficiency while reducing engine wear. Each model is also rear-wheel drive with part-time four-wheel drive capabilities. The Work Truck model sports a manual four-wheel drive shift, while the LT and LTZ models have electronic four-wheel drive shifts.

    Interior and Payload

    • The Work Truck and LT models come in regular cab, extended cab, and crew cab versions, while the LTZ model only comes in extended and crew cab versions. The Work Truck and LT models sport front and rear bench seats which allow for seating for up to three or six people. The LTZ model has two front bucket seats and a rear bench which allow up to five people. The Work Truck and LT models can haul up to 3,700 lbs, while the LTZ can haul up to 3,500 lbs.
