- 1). Open the Microsoft Word 2007 file that you want to draw shapes in. Click on the area of the file where you want to start your drawing.
- 2). Click on the "Insert" tab and then click on the "Shapes" option from the "Illustrations" group. Click on the "New Drawing Canvas" option.
- 3). Click on the "Format" tab and then click on the "More" button from the "Insert Shapes" group.
- 4). Click on the "Curve" option below the "Lines" section and then draw the curve using your mouse.
- 5). Click on the "Oval" option below the "Basic Shapes" section and then hold down the "Shift" key on your keyboard to draw a circle while you move your mouse in your document.
- 6). Click on the "Format" tab again and then click on the "Shape Fill" option if you want to fill the shape with a solid color. Select the color you want from the palette that appears.
