In November of 2003 Nick Lachey released his first solo album SoulO. It was an unfortunate commercial failure. 2 singles, "This I Swear" and "Shut Up," failed to chart. The album itself only reached a dismal #51. At the time of release of the album, Nick Lachey was also busy playing another pop culture role with his private life becoming increasingly public.
