How to Block Unsafe Sites From My Children
- 1). Click the Start button to the bottom right of your screen. Select "Run" and type "notepad c:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts. This will open the "hosts" file in Notepad.
- 2). Scroll to the last line of the "hosts" file. Press Enter and type "127.0.0.1" followed by a space and the URL of the website you wish to block.
- 3). Click "File" and select "Save" in the drop-down menu. Exit the program and attempt to open the websites that you have blocked. The websites should be unable to connect.
