How to Remove Wrinkles From an Aluminum Screen

    • 1). Remove the aluminum screen from the window. There might be screws or clips that hold it in place that must be removed first.

    • 2). Place the screen on a flat surface with the plastic spline that extends around the screen in a channel face up.

    • 3). Use a flat screwdriver to pull out the end of the spline. Continue pulling the spline out of the channel until you have removed one side.

    • 4). Grab the screen by the edge and pull it toward the channel where the spline was removed until the wrinkles smooth out.

    • 5). Continue holding the screen as you press the spline back into place over the screen's edge and into the channel with a spline roller. You might need an assistant to help you with this step.

    • 6). Replace the screen in the window.
