How to Edit OpenOffice Calc Remotely Over an Internet Network
- 1). Click "Start" on the computer you want to connect to (the one that has OpenOffice installed on it) and type "Remote Access" in the Start menu's search box.
- 2). Press "Enter," click "Allow connections from computers running any..." in the "Remote Desktop" section of the System Properties" window, then click "OK." The computer is now set up to accept remote connections.
- 3). Log in to the computer that you are using to access your OpenOffice computer remotely. Once logged in, click "Start" and then type "Remote Desktop Connection" in the search field.
- 4). Click the "Remote Desktop Connection" program that appears on the "Start" menu and then enter the remote computer's name or Internet Protocol address in the Remote Desktop Connection Client window.
- 5). Press the "Enter" key and then type out your log-in user name and password."
- 6). Press "Enter" again, then open the Calc application and edit your document as you would if you were logged in to your computer normally.
