• The Ford Taurus has a built-in tire pressure monitor in the dash that alerts the driver when tire pressure drops.
  
  

Airbags

• Airbags are standard on all Ford Taurus vehicles. They include both front and side head-curtain airbags.
  
  

MyKey System

• The new Ford Taurus has a unique MyKey safety system for teenagers controlled by parents. Parents can set limits to an extra set of keys so that other drivers can only reach limited speeds and other preset limits.
  
  

Crash Test

• Recent Ford Taurus models have done very well in crash tests, with the 2009 model receiving 5 out of 5 stars in front, rear and side crash tests, as well as 4 stars in a rollover test.
