The MGM Grand Hotel & Casino opened its first location in Las Vegas in 1973, where it was the largest along the Strip. The property was later sold and in 1993 the new resort opened, becoming the biggest hotel in the United States. Locations followed in Detroit and Connecticut, each featuring casinos, guest amenities and dining options. Today, from upscale restaurants to casual eateries, the MGM Grand offers its guests a variety of culinary choices. - Created by an award-winner declared the French "Chef of the Century", the Joël Robuchon Restaurant offers an intimate, fine dining experience. With seasonal and prix fixe menus as well as a la carte dishes, sample menu items include truffle langoustine ravioli, roasted lobster with green curry, sea bass, French hen with foie gras, Scottish salmon and veal chops. The restaurant has been honored with several awards, including Wine Spectator's Grand Award and AAA's 5 Diamond Award. Open for dinner each day of the week, the restaurant sends a complimentary limousine to guests with reservations.
