Hemorrhoids are not life threatening in its mild to moderate cases.
However, imagine the amount of pain, itch and discomfort you'll be facing when this occurs.

Hemorrhoids will reappear if you have had surgery but non-compliant.
Take care of your nutrition.
Eat high fiber foods and drink lots of water, say 8 to 10 glasses per day or even more if you can.
Avoid acidic foods that could irritate your rectum even more.
In general, try avoiding the causes of hemorrhoids.
