How to Make a Brown Work Glove

    • 1). Trace both your hands loosely on a large piece of paper. Allow about a 1/2 inch around the perimeter of your hand for wiggle room.

    • 2). Cut out two copies of each hand pattern. Join the two copies of each hand pattern at the smallest finger with a piece of tape. Allow for about a 1/4 inch of overlap.

    • 3). Trace the pattern of each hand onto the back side of the wool jersey fabric.

    • 4). Cut out the patterns, then fold them at the pinkie finger so all the fingers line up with the back side of the fabric facing out.

    • 5). Hand-stitch or use a sewing machine to sew together all the edges of the gloves, except the wrist portions. Sewing machines will provide a more secure stitch for the work gloves.

    • 6). Fold the wrist about a 1/4 inch toward the fingers and sew it all the way around.

    • 7). Turn the gloves right side out, and they will be ready to wear.
