How to Convert MS Word to Arbortext SGML
- 1). Click "Start," "All Programs," "Microsoft Office," then "Microsoft Word" (or double-click the desktop icon) to load the MS Word software.
- 2). Click "File," "Open" and choose the document you want to convert over and use in Arbortext SGML.
- 3). Select "File," "Save As," then title the document and choose a location to save the file. Click on the format pull-down menu and choose "Word XML Document (XML)" from the list of options. Select "OK" and the Word document is saved as an XML.
- 4). Close out Microsoft Word, then load Arbortext SGML. Select "File," "Open" and select the XML file you created. It now loads onto the screen.
