3 Simple Steps to Build Your Confidence

Confidence is a key element in any process, action or relationship.
Whether you want to be successful in business, or build a personal relationship, start an ambitious project or do something challenging, you need to be confident in order to succeed.
If you know that this is not your strong point, you definitely have to work on it.
Build your confidence, starting with three simple steps: Make a list of all the traits you like about yourself.
Be honest.
You 're making this list for your eyes and your eyes only, so there 's no need for false modesty or infatuation.
Take a pen and a sheet of paper and start writing down your strong points.
And be specific, don 't just write "I 'm a nice person".
They don 't have to be world-changing qualities, just things that you like about yourself and would appreciate in others as well.
For example, you can write that you have a great singing voice, or you 're great with children, you love animals, you 're really good with computers and so on.
Write anything you like about yourself.
The more things you write on that list, the better for your confidence building.
Help someone in need.
Doing something for someone else can be very rewarding, not only do you feel better about yourself, but that someone will be grateful, will appreciate what you did and will appreciate you.
It does not have to be big, nobody 's telling you to buy a house for a homeless person.
But you can feed a homeless person, do a volunteer activity, help out a friend or anything that you find appropriate.
And another great thing about volunteer work is that it 's your choice to do that, you can do it whenever you feel like it, and you have no schedule to follow.
Doing something for somebody else is a good way to keep a balance in your life, as well as maintain a positive image about yourself and the world around.
Do something challenging.
Try an activity you did not think you could do.
Even if you don 't success, you 'll fell better about yourself if you try something really difficult.
Often enough, succeeding at something easy does not feel as good as attempting something hard, but a challenge will make you feel like you 're really doing something.
And even if you don 't do a great job, at least you 're trying.
And all the better if you do succeed.
So instead of under-appreciating yourself and making endless lists in your head about what you don 't like about yourself, start making a list of what you do like.
And don 't say there 's nothing you like about yourself, every person has both qualities and flaws.
Do something for you, and do something for others.
And remember, nothing 's quite as bad as it seems, so get out there and have a little faith in yourself.
