Barrow-in-Furness, or Borrow for short is a nice seaport and industrial town that is an outstanding place to visit.
It can be found in Cumbria, England northwest of Manchester and fifty four miles from Carlisle.
You can find this town sitting at the top of the Furness Peninsula.
We really did enjoy this town and our only complaints was the fact that we could not live there as we had a job back home.
In Barrow, you are going to come across many different pubs.
In fact, there are fourteen of them.
You will also come across many different clubs and bars that are in the Barrow Town Centre on Cornwallis Street and Duke Street.
Some of the popular venues that are on Duke Street include Chambers, Bar Cairo, The Lounge and Yates.
On Cornwallis Street, you will come across the Gaza Strip.
The Tahitian Princess visited this port during May of 2009.
Walney Island is sheltering the town from the Irish Sea.
This is a fourteen mile long island.
It is being connected to the mainland by a bascule type of jubilee bridge.
During the 1800's, Barrow had a population that was in the low thousands.
Twenty years later, it has a population of sixty thousand.
People that come from this town are known as Barrovians.
There are many nightclubs, restaurants, pubs, and shops that you will be able to visit as you are in this town.
