How to Make a Foam Board Roller Coaster

    • 1). Draw a sketch of what the roller coaster will look like. It should include at least three loops, each with a different height. For example, make the tallest loop 70 cm high, the next loop 50 cm and the last loop 40 cm high.

    • 2). Cut a piece of cardboard the same length and width that the roller coaster will be. This will be the base of the roller coaster. The base should be 200 cm wide and 70 cm tall.

    • 3). Cut the foam board with a box cutter or hot knife into rectangles that are the height and length of the legs of the roller coaster. Also, cut the foam board into the shape of the loops in the roller coaster.

    • 4). Attach the pieces of the roller coaster together with a hot glue gun.

    • 5). Attach the model roller coaster to the piece of cardboard previously cut. Use hot glue to attach the roller coaster to the cardboard base. Be sure to leave a space of 20 cm from the base of the cardboard to the start of the loops. This will create a "valley" in the roller coaster track.
