Connecticut Waterside Restaurants
- Opened in 1895 and overlooking the Margerie Lake Reservoir in Danbury, Connecticut, Ondine is an upscale restaurant featuring French cuisine and an a la carte menu, that includes a five-course tasting menu or a four-course menu of traditional French country cuisine. As of 2011, the five-course tasting menu will cost around $59 per person, while the regular menu features entrees that range anywhere from $26 to $38.
- Built in an antique mill that dates back to the 1640s, The Grist Mill Restaurant has a long history in Farmington, Connecticut. Set alongside the Farmington River, The Grist Mill Restaurant serves a diverse menu of continental cuisine, ranging from seafood to pasta and chicken dishes. The Grist Mill Restaurant also hosts banquets and has separate brunch and luncheon menus.
- Located right on the Long Island Sound, in Noank, Connecticut, Abbott's Lobster in the Rough is a seafood restaurant with a weekends-only raw bar that includes anything from little neck clams to shrimp in the shell and Mystic Whale Rock Oysters. Abbott's Lobster in the Rough is closed throughout the winter, and reopens again every year on the first Friday in May.
