How to Weave Zury Products in to the Hair
- 1). Choose the hair you would like to leave out of your weave for blending and clip it out of the way before you begin tracking. If you are going to use a Zury closure piece, you can skip this step.
- 2). Create a track or foundation on which to sew the Zury hair by french-braiding or cornrowing your hair in small sections. Track in the direction you want the extended Zury hair to flow.
- 3). Clip any hair that you are not currently braiding or cornrowing to keep the stray hairs out of the way as you are tracking or french-braiding your hair.
- 4). Sew the ends of the cornrows or french braids neatly to your head, in your desired pattern, to complete the foundation for your Zury extension hair.
- 1). Measure the Zury weft against the track against which you are ready to add the extension. Hold one end of the weft at the beginning of the track and continue measuring around the head until you reach the end of the french-braided or cornrowed track.
- 2). Cut the Zury hair at the desired length to coincide with the length of the foundation track.
- 3). Put hair aside. Lay any extra Zury hair aside in a separate pile from the hair you have just measured.
- 4). Thread a weaving or carpet needle with weaving thread or cord. For a track that will be sewn to the circumference of your head, a good length for the thread would be the length of your arm, measuring from your fingertip as you pull the cord through the eye of the needle, off the spool.
- 5). Tie a knot at the end of the cord to prevent it from slipping out of the needle when you begin to sew. Put the needle aside.
- 6). Hold one end of the previously measured Zury wefted hair against the edge of the cornrow where it is to be attached. Insert the needle under the cornrow and through the wefted edge of the Zury hair. Pull through.
- 7). Continue sewing the hair to the selected cornrow, using a blanket stitch. When you have reached the end of the weft, cut the thread and tie the ends in several tight knots to avoid slipping.
- 8). Repeat steps 1 through 7 in section 2 until all of your foundation braids or tracks are covered with Zury hair.
- 9). Remove the clip from the section you parted to use for blending and allow the natural hair to fall over the extended hair. Blend the hair into the extended Zury hair by brushing over the wefts gently, concealing the wefts from view.
