How to Make a Crescent Moon Centerpiece
- 1). Cut out a crescent moon shape from a piece of foam board. Cover the crescent moon in aluminum foil. Cut a large circle from the spare foam board. The circle will serve as a stable base for the moon.
- 2). Coat the moon in glue, and then roll it in silver glitter. Insert a wooden dowel into the bottom of the crescent moon. Insert the other end of the wooden stick into the circle of foam board.
- 3). Fill a clear bowl with water. Place the foam circle in the bottom of the bowl, with the crescent moon rising above it. Put glass stars or clean rocks on top of the foam circle to weigh it down and stabilize it further.
- 4). Add star-shaped floating candles to the bowl and light them.
- 1). Cut out shapes of moons and stars from construction paper, or use confetti shaped like stars and crescent moons.
- 2). Place the paper shapes or confetti in a bowl or jar.
- 3). Add premade moon-shaped balloons attached to hard plastic sticks in the jar. Place some moon-shaped cutouts around the jar on the table for an added effect.
