Cures for Skin Discoloration
- Urine therapy has been used all over the world to treat skin problems, such as acne, rashes, scarring and skin discoloration. Urine is completely sterile and high in vitamins, and it can even out the skin tone and fade any patches of discoloration. To use this treatment, catch the morning's first urine on a cotton pad and apply it to the skin. For particularly stubborn spots, place the soaked cotton pad directly on the skin and leave it there for at least 15 minutes. Let the urine dry or rinse it off with warm water. Repeat twice per day.
- Lemon juice is highly acidic, which enables it to exfoliate the skin gently and lift off dead skin cells. It is also very high in vitamin C, making it a free-radical fighter and helpful in turning over skin cells to reveal new skin, which causes skin discoloration to fade. Soak a cotton pad with full-strength lemon juice, apply it to the skin and let the lemon juice soak in and dry. Do this three times daily.
- Baking soda is a gentle abrasive, meaning it can carefully scrub off dead skin cells without damaging or irritating skin. When dead skin cells are removed effectively, skin discoloration disappears and new skin is revealed. Mix about 1 teaspoon of baking soda with a little bit of water. When a paste forms, gently massage it around the areas of skin discoloration. After about 30 seconds, rinse the area well with warm water.
