- 1). Make sure the cats at your house are actually feral and not a neighbor's cats. Put signs around your neighborhood with a picture of the cat and your information. If a couple of weeks go by and no one has claimed the cats, other steps can be taken.
- 2). Put cat traps around your house. When the trap is open, set some smelly food like tuna at the back of the trap. If the cat goes after the food, he will trip the lever that makes the door shut behind the cat, locking it into the cage.
- 3). Put a sheet or blanket over each trap. A cat will be more calm when everything is dark. Take the traps to a no-kill shelter so they can be put up for adoption.
