How to Make a Drawstring Triangle Bikini Top
- 1). Cut two triangles from the fabric measuring 5 inches at the wide bottoms and 2 inches wide at the tips.
- 2). Place each triangle segment of fabric down in front of you with the faded sides facing upward.
- 3). Squeeze a line of max strength fabric glue along the side edges of each triangle, leaving the bottom edges untouched. Fold each side edge inward by 1/2 inch. This creates a hem at each side of each triangle.
- 4). Snip two lengths of cotton braided cord measuring approximately 30 inches each.
- 5). Place one of the segments of cord across the two triangles 1 inch from the edge. Squeeze a line of fabric glue along each tip of each triangle. Fold each triangle downward by 1 inch, enveloping the cord. Adhere the glued tip to the fabric just beneath the cord without getting glue on the cord itself.
- 6). Lay the other segment of cord across the bottoms of the two triangles. Repeat Step 5 with the bottom edges of the triangles, enveloping the cord. Allow 20 minutes for drying.
