How to Type Horizontally in iPhone
- 1). Tap the application icon for the application that you want to use to compose a piece of text. For example, tap the "Messages" icon if you want to use the device's keyboard in landscape mode in the "Messages" app.
- 2). Tap on the text input field to place the device's text cursor into the text input field. With the text cursor in the text input field, the device's virtual keyboard will automatically appear onscreen in portrait mode.
- 3). Turn the device 90 degrees to the right or left. The iPhone's accelerometer will automatically detect the shift of position and switch the onscreen keyboard into landscape mode. You can now use the horizontal keyboard.
