Defeat Emetophobia

Emetophobia is an extreme fear of sickness and vomiting.
It isn't something that just affects sufferers when they feel ill, it effects them every second, every minute, hour, day, week, month, and year.
This fear envelops every part of their lives to such an extent that some sufferers do not start a family because of the fear of morning sickness.
Many sufferers will avoid all places where there is a possibility of themselves, or others, being sick, for example pubs, restaurants, eating in front of others owing to the link between eating and potentially being sick.
Some sufferers have never eaten out in a restaurant or had a cup of tea in anyone else's home other their own, in fear of germs which then in turn could lead to sickness.
Emetophobia isn't as uncommon as some people think it is the seventh biggest phobia in the UK.
Given this fact, it really is surprising how little this fear is discussed.
Part of the reason for this, of course, is that vomiting itself is not really a topic that most people feel comfortable talking about.
But perhaps the major reason is because those who do suffer from emetophobia often feel some sort of shame for doing so.
Such feelings, however, are totally unwarranted.
And with effective hypnotherapy, emetophobia can be completely and rapidly eliminated.
The cause of a fear of vomiting is most often really simple and not at all complex.
At some time in the past, the emetophobic individual has linked vomit, vomiting or being sick with a traumatic feeling.
The actual incident that began the fear or phobia may well have been some form of frightening experience that occurred in the past, and this fear has become a conditioned reflex, in doing so that sometimes even the thought of vomit or vomiting can automatically trigger the feelings of fear.
If you or someone you care about suffers from emetophobia, there really is something you can do about it.
Often all it takes is two or three hypnotherapy sessions in order to completely and permanently remove emetophobia.
Emetophobia is known by many names (emetephobia, phagophobia, vomitophobia, vomit phobia, sickness phobia, fear of vomiting, fear of gagging, fear of swallowing, fear of choking, globus hystericus), but whatever you call it this condition can affect sufferers deeply.
