On a peninsula of the mouth of Bahia de Todos os Santos, All Saints Bay, Salvador has two sections, Cidade Baixa. the lower city which is the commercial and financial center of the city and Cidade Alta, or upper city, the historic city, where most of the tourist attractions are located.
