- 1). Immediatley turn off your iPod. The faster you turn it off, the less potential electrical corrosion your iPod may incur.
- 2). Remove all visible signs of water. Using a soft cloth, wipe all of the water off of the outside of your iPod and then shake it to release internal water droplets.
- 3). Weather-permitting, place your iPod in the sun for a day. If this is not possible, place it near a fan or space heater for 5 to 6 hours.
- 4). If your iPod still won't activate, place it in a bowl of uncooked rice. Layer the bottom of a bowel with rice and place your iPod inside the bowl. Add another layer of rice until your iPod is completely covered. Leave it this way for an entire day.
