How to Copy AIM for BlackBerry IMs
In this Reader's Mailbag, Brandon helps a reader discover how to copy conversations on AIM for BlackBerry to be copied over to her PC.
Hi! I would like to ask how I can copy an IM from my BlackBerry to a computer. My husband and I would like to have access to copy all our [AIM IMs] from our phone to our computer because we sometimes forget to take our phones with us and, to simplify matters more, we have a two-year-old who always hides our phone. -- B. Murillo
Dear Mrs. Murillo,
The best way for you to copy over your AIM for BlackBerry conversations ultimately will be to email them to your home email address. First, in conversation on AIM, press the "Menu" key on your BlackBerry, then select "Copy Conversation." Then, using the "Menu" key again, select "Paste" into an email addressed to yourself.
Another method you can also try that has worked for some BlackBerry users is to save your AIM conversations to your SIM card, and using a SIM card reader to open and save these conversations on your home PC.
Thanks for the question!
