Let's be honest - it's not getting any warmer outside no matter what Al Gore says.
No matter how inconvenient the truth, many of us will soon be shoveling driveways and walkways while hoping that the feeling returns to our toes, fingers, noses, and ears.
So after you've slaved away to futilely clear out your walkway/driveway, it's time to relax with some entertainment that's indoors.
Sure you could watch TV or movies, but what if you want something that's more interactive? Here are some options.
Video Games Yes, everybody says "video games are bad," but they're also lots of fun.
Especially with Christmas right around the corner there are a plethora of really high quality games on the market right now.
In addition to their entertainment value, video games can also be educational and even provide a level of exercise thanks to the growth in controllers that use motion to control what happens in the game.
Board Games The classics never go out of style, and when you're snowed in it's the perfect time to ruthlessly crush your family members and friends in games like Risk, Monopoly, or even Yahtzee.
There are even newer board games that can be both fun and educational, or just allow you to let your creative side out.
Of course if you're really feeling up for a challenge there's always Trivial Pursuit.
Card Games Never mind all of the specialty decks that exist for playing a single game, a standard deck of cards can be utilized to play numerous games that can accommodate a wide number of players.
From casino games like Poker and Blackjack to more family-friendly games like Hearts and Spades, a deck of cards means you always have hours of entertainment no matter where you are.
Table Games Billiards, air hockey, and table tennis tables are just a few options to keep you entertained when it's snowing outside.
Dart boards and foosball tables also present great options for fun both while it's too cold to be outside and even after the weather has warmed up and you can reasonably be out there.
Just Keep Warm Whether your choice of entertainment is video, board, card, or table games, remember to have fun, stay warm, and to pace yourself when you go back outside for another round of shoveling the snow off your driveway or walkway - you don't want to wear yourself out before going back inside to play games.
