How to Stretch an Image Using Gimp

    • 1). Open GIMP and click "File." Click "Open" and select the image you want to stretch.

    • 2). Click "Image" on the top menu. Click on "Scale Image." This opens the image size tool in a small window.

    • 3). Click on the "Lock" symbol next to the height and width to unlock the proportions, keeping the height or width from adjusting while you adjust one of the properties. This allows you to stretch the image.

    • 4). Click on the "Up" arrow next to "Width" to increase the width, which stretches the image horizontally. Click "Scale" to apply the changes to the image. Repeat the process and adjust the width more or less, depending on the stretch level you want.

    • 5). Click on the "Up" arrow next to "Height" if you want to stretch the image vertically. Click "Scale" to apply the changes.

    • 6). Click "Edit" then "Undo" if you want to revert any of the changes you've made. Click "File" then "Save" to save the changes.
