How to Fix a JPG Picture That Won't Open

    Fix the Windows Photo Gallery Problem on Vista

    • 1). Close all open windows on your computer, right-click on your desktop, select “New” and then click “Folder.”

    • 2). Name the new folder. For example, weblinks.

    • 3). Double-click the folder.

    • 4). Click the “Restore Down” button present at the top-right of the folder window. This will reduce the window's size.

    • 5). Double-click and hold your mouse cursor over the title bar of the folder window and then drag the window in such a way that all the weblinks present on the desktop are visible to you.

    • 6). Double-click and hold your mouse button over the weblinks on your desktop one-by-one that have a very long name and then drag it to the new folder that you created (weblinks in our example). Now, the JPG pictures will open.

    Fix Microsoft Photo Editor 3.0

    • 1). Insert the Microsoft Office 97 CD in the CD drive of your computer.

    • 2). Double-click the “My Computer” icon on the desktop.

    • 3). Right-click CD drive in which the Microsoft Office 97 CD is present on the My Computer window that opens and then click “Open.”

    • 4). Double-click the “Valupack” folder to open it and then double-click the “Patch” folder.

    • 5). Double-click the “Themes.exe” file present in the Patch folder. Themes extension will be added to the Microsoft Office 97 installation on your computer and from then on you will be use JPG pictures with the Photo Editor 3.0 utility.
