How to Obtain Permission For an Email List
- 1). Open a new email message and paste one of the names from the address list you want to obtain in the "To" field.
- 2). Write a clear, concise "headline" in the "Subject" field that reflects your request. Type something along the lines of, "XYZ Marketing rep Simon Jones invites you to join his email list."
- 3). Write a brief message inviting the person to join your list. Personalize it whenever possible. Explain where you got his address, or remind him of a time you two crossed paths. Tell him how he'll benefit from the information you would send him. Assure him that you will only add him if he confirms that he wants to be included and thank him for his consideration.
- 4). Send the email.
