How to Drag & Drop Videos to an iPod

    Adding Videos With Automatic Syncing

    • 1). Connect your iPod to your computer. Wait for iTunes to open and sync with your iPod.

    • 2). Select any iTunes-compatible video on your hard drive or removable device in Explorer. You can import video files ending in ".m4v," ".mp4" and ".mov" into iTunes.

    • 3). Drag the video into the "Library" section on the left side of the iTunes window.

    • 4). Click your iPod in the "Devices" section of iTunes, then click "Apply." The video will automatically be added to the iPod.

    • 5). Click the "Eject" button beside your iPod in iTunes, then disconnect the device from your computer.

    Dragging Videos With Manual Syncing

    • 1). Connect your iPod to your computer. Open iTunes if it does not open automatically.

    • 2). Import the video into iTunes if it is not there already by dragging any compatible movie into the "Library" section of iTunes.

    • 3). Click on "Movies" in the "Library" section of iTunes.

    • 4). Highlight your video. If the check box on the left of the title is empty, click on it to put a check mark in the box.

    • 5). Drag the movie to your iPod in the "Devices" section of iTunes.

    • 6). Click "Apply." Wait for iTunes to sync with your iPod. Then eject your iPod from iTunes, and disconnect it from your computer.
