How to Transfer iPod Touch Music to iTunes
- 1). Click the "Finder" icon on your Macintosh computer's screen dock, then click the "Applications" tab in the "Finder" sidebar. Double-click the "iTunes" icon to run the application. For Windows PCs, click the "Start" menu button on the screen's taskbar, then click "Programs," "iTunes" and "iTunes" again to run the program.
- 2). Click "Store" at the top of the iTunes menu on your PC, or at the top of the screen on your Macintosh computer, and select "Authorize Computer" from the drop-down menu.
- 3). Type your Apple ID and password into the appropriate fields, then click the "Authorize" button in the lower right corner of the authorization window.
- 4). Plug the iPod USB cable into the iPod's dock connector on the bottom of the device. Plug the other end into the USB port on your computer.
- 5). Click "File" at the top of the screen and click "Transfer Purchases from iPod" from the drop-down list. Alternatively, click the "Transfer Purchases" button in the dialog box once your iPod Touch is detected by your computer.
- 6). Click the "Eject" icon next to the iPod Touch tab in the iTunes sidebar once the transfer is complete.
